Plans, billing & payment

Learn how billing works and how to manage your subscription.

    Note: This article does not cover Enterprise subscriptions. Please speak to your customer success manager if you have any questions about billing.

    Plans

    Note: Plans apply at the workspace level. Each workspace can only be on one plan at a time.

    Springboards offers a Free plan and several paid plans. You can compare plans and pricing at springboards.ai/pricing:

    • Free — Best for personal projects and side ideas. Always free, no strings attached.
    • Pro — Best for working solo but operating like an entire team. Customised to how you work.
    • Team — Best for teams sparking, sharing, and collaborating as one. Allows up to 20 members.
    • Enterprise — Best for medium to large teams that require scale, security, and advanced controls. Contact our sales team for pricing.

    Free and Pro plans are for individuals — they support only 1 member per workspace. If others in your organisation need access, you'll need the Team or Enterprise plan. See managing users in your workspace for more information.

    Free Trial

    New workspaces start with a 14-day free trial on the Team plan so you can explore Springboards before committing.

    • At the end of your trial, your workspace will be automatically downgraded to the Free plan without charge.
    • To continue on a paid plan, go to Settings → Billing, and add a payment method before your trial ends.

    Billing

    Upgrading your plan

    Upgrades take effect immediately.

    When you upgrade, you're charged a pro-rated amount for the remainder of your current billing period. For example, if you're halfway through a monthly billing cycle, you'll be charged for half a month at the new plan's rate.

    This applies to:
    • Moving from Free → Pro or Team
    • Moving from Pro → Team
    • Switching from monthly to annual billing
    • Adding seats on the Team plan

    Downgrading your plan

    Downgrades take effect at the end of your current billing period.

    When you schedule a downgrade, you keep access to your current plan's features until the period ends. No refund is issued for unused time. At renewal, your workspace moves to the lower plan automatically.

    This applies to:
    • Moving from Team → Pro or Free
    • Moving from Pro → Free
    • Switching from annual to monthly billing
    • Removing seats on the Team plan — the reduction applies at your next renewal, with no credit for the current period

    Cancelling your subscription

    You can cancel at any time from Settings → Billing.

    Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. You'll keep full access to your plan until then, after which your workspace moves to the Free plan. No partial refunds are issued.

    Changing the number of seats on a  Team plan

    Adding seats: The new seat is billed immediately at a pro-rated rate for the remainder of the current period, then at the full rate from the next renewal.
     
    Removing seats: The seat count is reduced at the next renewal. No credit is applied to the current period.

    Billing cycle and invoices

    • Subscriptions renew on the same date each month or year, depending on your billing interval.
    • You can view past invoices and update payment details in Settings → Billing.
