The Randomness Meter is your key to unexpected variation.

Strange combos, bold moves, and surprising angles—this is how ideas get interesting. Crank it up to explore unexpected territory that's still on brief, just way less predictable. Think of it as your ability to extend Springboards creative leash. Located at the bottom of your control panel.

How to use the Randomness meter :

🪧Start from Zero  – It's OK to Keep it off for most runs. Springboards is already designed to spark creative, on-brief thinking without extra randomness.

🎢 Dial It Up When You’re Stuck – Use Micro-dosing → LSD → Asylum to push your outputs further into surprising, weird, or unexpected directions while still keeping the brand’s core intact.

⚡ Look for Nuggets – Even the wildest outputs (like talking cans of Coke or sentient pickles) often hide small, fresh ideas you can refine into something powerful.

🌀Randmoness in action on different boards  –

  • Insight Digger: Randomness helps you come at insights from new angles.
  • Creative Briefs: Instead of one “final brief,” generate multiple versions that spark different ways of thinking.
  • Execution Generator & Concept Machine: Crank it up when you want bold, extreme, or left-field executions and images.

Tips to make the most of Randomness:

🛡️Guardrails = Inputs – Input fields act like boundaries for the Randomness Meter. The more you add, the tighter the space it has to play in. Start broad, then narrow things down as you refine.

🎯 Balance Mild vs. Wild – Try sparking on both “Off” and “Asylum.” Compare the grounded version with the far-out version — often the sweet spot sits in between.

🎲 Triple Spark Trick – Hit the Spark button three times on three different levels of randomness. Don’t overthink it — just generate, then step back and scan through what you’ve got. Surprises guaranteed.
